The Application Programmer/ Database Analyst will help design and implement dashboard capabilities within the Navy Bureau of Medicine military health clinical community as well as provide for future enhancements as needed. The ideal candidate will ensure the dashboards are working properly and address any issues/changes relayed to the vendor by the end users. Responsibilities include: * Work closely with the respective clinical community for the development and implementation of Government approved new additions, requests, or revisions required for any of the dashboards. * Providing dashboard sustainment services for the various clinical dashboards. * Help desk duties consist of receiving requirements for modifications to existing dashboards and planning, designing, prototyping, and creating scripts and code required to meet those requirements. * Designs, creates, and modifies database reports and dashboard systems to meet user requirements. * Receives bug and error reports and troubleshoots systems to determine the cause and solution. * Will utilize source control and ticketing documentation to maintain a history of database and SQL changes. * All other appropriate duties as and when required by management. *Technical Skills Required:* * Experience with Cerner EMR and applicable data structures * Strong understanding of SQL Server databases, related utilities and tools such as SSRS and SSIS. * Strong knowledge of physical database design * Experience using Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft Visual Studio * SQL scripting, database design, query optimization, and data reporting using Microsoft SQL SSRS * C# and Microsoft .NET Framework * Experience with Microsoft SQL SSIS integration * SharePoint experience *Non-Technical Skills:* * Ability to work and communicate well with staff outside of software development including client staff. * Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related field. * Public Trust clearance or higher
