Contract: I2TS 3Position: Sr Engineer, Software - Software Engineer (L3)Location: Fort Meade, MD GENERAL SUMMARY: GDIT is seeking candidates to support the US Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM). Under the I2TS 3 task order, INSCOM ensures reliable, uninterrupted availability of Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Information Management (C4IM) including: networks, hardware, software, engineering, and specialized tools at the point of customer need to support INSCOM's mission. INSCOM and its MSCs provide the enabling layer to connect the Army and its tactical formations to defense and national intelligence agencies via tactical networks. The ability to provide mission critical intelligence is dependent on the successful use of its information technology (IT) networks worldwide.Principal Duties and Responsibilities: An I2TS 3 Software Engineer:Develops, maintains, and enhances complex and diverse software systems (eg, processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems) based upon documented requirementsProvides specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of COTS/GOTS in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software componentsDesigns, implements, and integrates software applications or performs software engineering tasksUtilizes software engineering and design methodologies appropriate to the development, integration, and production environmentEnsures efficient delivery of software engineering capabilities using industry standards and repeatable processesMitigates risks, controls costs and schedule variance, and effectively manages large scale, integrated software projectsReviews and tests software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test resultsDemonstrates advanced knowledge of software engineering principles, methods, and techniquesPossesses knowledge of the associated hardware, software, and equipmentDesirable Skills / Experience:Comprehensive knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in web software development and designProficiency in the use of one or more web technologies such as XAML (Silverlight, WPF), .NET Framework, SQL,, JavaScript, Shell, HTML, PHP, and etc. is highly desirableFamiliar with Agile-Scrum methodology and practices Certification(s):DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II Computing Environment (CE) Certification as determined by the Program Manager is required prior to support on contractRequired Baseline/Security Environment Certification: CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalentDesired Computing Environment (CE) Certification: MCSE, Data Management and Analytics; or MCSA, Server 2012/2014Security Clearance:TS/SCI requiredAdditional:Candidates must be willing and able to attain a CI Polygraph for certain positions as determined by the contract4-10 years of related software development experience.As a trusted systems integrator for more than 50 years, General Dynamics Information Technology provides information technology (IT), systems engineering, professional services and simulation and training to customers in the defense, federal civilian government, health, homeland security, intelligence, state and local government and commercial sectors.With approximately 32,000 professionals worldwide, the company delivers IT enterprise solutions, manages large-scale, mission-critical IT programs and provides mission support services.GDIT is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
