Vencore is an AA/EEO Employer - Minorities/Women/Veterans/Disabled and other protected categories Responsibilities The candidate will have relevant experience and recognized community credentials developing mission capability, operational, data, system, and service architectures utilizing relevant architecture modeling techniques (to include both structured and object techniques as represented by IDEF, BPMN, and/or UML notation sets). The candidate will be able to synthesize customer needs and requirements, translating them into architecture tasking for the Architecture team. He/She must have strong interpersonal skills and be able to work collaboratively with stakeholders, customers, operational and technical personnel, and management to implement timely solutions. The selected individual should have demonstrated knowledge of major architecture frameworks (DoDAF, FEAF, Zachman). The Architect shall:Develop an architecture roadmap to achieve the target architecture, consistent with the agency's vision and mission capability requirements. Align investments and ensure traceability to the agency's portfolio constructsDevelop and integrate DoDAF 2.0 compliant Capability View (CV), Operational View (OV), Data/Information View (DIV), System View (SV), Service View (SvcV), and Standards View (StdV) productsVerify that relevant performance Measures of Effectiveness/Measures of Performance (MOEs/MOPs) are allocated throughout the architecture and are useful for analysis and decision supportDevelop the data management approach consistent with customer objectives and align to overall architecture roadmapIdentify system/service interfaces in support of interoperability and integration efforts to include both logical and physical implementation requirementsDevelop relevant architecture analytics (static and dynamic) supporting AoA trades for transformational initiativesEnsure architecture products and analysis efforts shape emerging requirementsProvide architecture support to developer gate review milestones; evaluate developer products for architectural compliance and impacts to the integrated architectureCustomize and adapt architecture frameworks and metamodels to be useful/relevant for the customer's domainDevelop and implement methodologies, courseware, standard operating procedures (SOPs), style guides, and presentation material supporting construction and integration of architecture artifactsProvide inputs on existing and emerging tradecraft standards in support of updates to the customer's standards profile ensuring alignment with the agency's architectural principlesPrepare inputs for operational assessments to determine potential future standards and specifications to be added to the StdV-1, StdV-2 productsFacilitate and lead process improvement sessions with senior government, industry, and contractor support subject matter experts (SMEs) across multiple tradecraft domainsProvide technical oversight in customizing, administering, and maintaining the architecture tool environment (IBM-System Architect) and Architecture Team Sharepoint sites, to include development of reporting scripts, managing user accounts, allocating proper Role Based Access Control (RBAC), Instance Level Access Control (ILAC), transferring and synchronizing SA objects with DOORS requirements, exchanging and integrating ERwin data models with SA, running maintenance utilities, troubleshooting user/database issues, posting content, and other tasks to meet emerging project needs Requires 12 to 15 years with BS/BA or 10 to 13 years with MS/MA or 7 to 9 years with Ph.D.BS or MS in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalentEnterprise Architecture (EA) Certification by a recognized Government or academic institution5+ years in enterprise architectures supporting mission critical operational and solution development effortsDemonstrated experience developing/integrating architecture models across the capability, operational, and solution domains to include both structured (functional decomposition) and object techniquesExperience using relevant EA tools (IBM-System Architect, CASEWISE, Troux)Application and use of key community reference models (JARM, FEA-CRM)Previous experience leading complex technical teams of architects or engineersPrevious experience serving as a primary interface to the government5+ years combined experience with architectureExcellent facilitation, oral presentation, and writing skills to include model developmentDemonstrated experience developing activity, process, data, system, service models
