Network Engineer *Can be located in Hagerstown, MD; Marietta, GA or Wilmington, DE* Prestigious Firm is seeking a Network Engineer, a true engineer not an operational support professional. Experienced network engineer to work as a part of the Global Core and Data Center engineering team with responsibility for design, deployment and support of worldwide environment. Responsibilities will include strategic planning, solutions design, and project support and process automation. Job Responsibilities Designs, installs, and maintains the enterprise network to meet the functional objectives of the business. Designs, installs, and maintains the enterprise Voice services platforms to meet the functional objectives of the business. Researches, evaluates, and implements new advanced networking and voice technologies. Seeks new technologies that would be applicable to the FDC environment. Strong knowledge of the FDC network and voice infrastructure (PBX/ACD/IVR) and ability to assess and implement high-risk/high-visibility changes. Leads coordination efforts with both technical and non-technical peer groups to determine requirements. Able to communicate effectively with internal and external customers possessing a wide range of technical knowledge. Performs additional job duties as required. Development of applications and scripts to automate network build, deployment, monitoring and management processes using Python or other general purpose languages and configuration management platforms including Saltstack, etc. Solutions development, project delivery, configuration management, network stewardship and associate mentoring in a enterprise-class, multi-site data center environment. Design and support for enterprise-class network. Critical skills include data center and core architecture, routing protocols including OSPF and BGP. Design and support for a global WAN backbone built on SDWAN technology. Must have proficiency in routing protocols, QoS/CoS, carrier network architecture and SDWAN technology. Scope of Job Leads complex business projects. Provides coaching and mentoring to less experienced engineers. Work as a member of a global team to deliver large technology projects for the business. Strong coordination and communication skills are needed to ensure success. Key skills include build automation. Work as a member of a global team in the planning, design and delivery of network solutions in the areas of data center architecture, WAN technology, routing, monitoring and management. Provide problem management, change management and project Matrix support including on call rotation. Autonomy Works independently. Manage communications and coordinate tasks between technical teams, organizational leadership, project management and business units. Job Requirements 8+ years of related IT experience. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience and appropriate certificates. Has expert knowledge in functions they support. Strong understanding of business issues. Proven track record of working with core and data center switching platforms including Cisco Nexus, Arista and Juniper. 5+ years of experience with WAN architectures and technologies including SDWAN, DMVPN, MPLS.
