PRIMARY DUTIES ANDACCOUNTABILITIES - Aggressively manages andinspects the day-to-day activities of multiple gas and/or electriccontractor crews. ? - Facilitates theinstallation of gas and/or electric infrastructure and ensures thatall company standards, company specifications and governmentalregulations are met. ? - Manages work to ensurethat all performance objectives for cycle time and cost are ontarget. ? - Oversees and directs contractorsperforming gas connections and electric cut-ins.? - Makes the proper notification to allfederal, state and local agencies before, during and afterconstruction as required. ? - Prior tocommencement of construction, coordinates with customer(s) at thejob-site to determine specific customer requirements, constructionsequencing and provides site readiness verification.? - Maintains frequent and regular contact withcontractor supervision regarding job performance and documentsresults appropriately. ? - Knowledgeable ofdistribution contracts. ? - Ensures that theterms and conditions of contract and technical specifications aremet. ? - Verifies key unit quantities.? - Makes the necessary field decisionsregarding job changes and communicates them as necessary#CD#documents all job changes to ensure compliance and updates theappropriate information technology systems. ? -Schedules and coordinates all required electric system outages.? - Performs weekly safety audits of crews anddocuments performance in the Contractor Performance ManagementSystem (CPMS). ? - Coordinates permit andwork-with requirements with 3rd party utilities and permitagencies. ? - Reviews and approves all documentssubmitted by the contractor verifying the accuracy and completenessof the documentation. ? - Regularly communicatesjob status to the appropriate parties to facilitate schedulingcommitments. ? - Maintains customer coordinationduring construction phase and conducts job walk-down with customerand contractor at job completion. ? - Performsstorm duty assignments as needed. ? - Reports tojob-site or remote location. ? - May be requiredto work during emergencies and stormsituations. POSITIONSPECIFICATIONS Minimum: -Thorough knowledge of Company work, environmental, and safetypractices, including a working knowledge of electric and/or gasoperations, and the ability to maintain or obtain switching, outageand/or gas-up authorization. - In-depthknowledge of materials, BGE construction standards, regulations(OSHA), and safety requirements for electric distribution,substation or gas distribution construction. -Thorough knowledge of PC and job/work management applicationsincluding WMS, TES and CPMS. - Ability tointerpret construction and vendor drawings, feeder prints and jobjacket contents. - Ability to effectively plan,schedule, manage and coordinate daily workactivities. - Strong interpersonal skills andthe ability to anticipate and resolve problemspromptly. - Valid drivers license and ability tomeet Company driving standards. - Five or moreyears of construction experience or the equivalent combination offormal education/training andexperience.
