Adventist Healthcare Responsible for all grant related activities at Adventist Healthcare, Inc. (AHC), which includes: o Reviewing all grant agreements and developing standard checklists. o Completing checklists to track compliance with all deadlines and deliverables. o Maintains and controls the accounting records for the grant entities: Records monthly journal entries to capture all grant activities Monitors financial activity captured in the general ledger to ensure the accuracy of reported grant balances. Completes the monthly closing process in accordance with AHCs monthly closing schedule. Responsible for the compilation and issuance of a standard set of internal deliverables in conjunction with the monthly accounting close process. o Assumes responsibility for external reporting of financial results, including reporting financial data to various local, state and federal agencies. o Serves as the point of contact across all entities and levels of staff to: Respond to customer inquiries with timely and insightful knowledge regarding grant related activities. Ensuring compliance with all grant obligations for grant funded programs. Providing analysis and oversight to ensure compliance Serves as a resource to staff of grant funded programs for fiscal and programmatic compliance matters. Coordinating with clinical and non-clinical staff to ensure compliance with grants is maintained o Provides support for the conduct of AHCs annual Corporate audit o Provides support for the conduct of AHCs A-133 Audit o Provides support for the conduct of various contract related audits o Actively participates in the annual budget process on an as needed basis. o Meeting with relevant staff across AHC to assign responsibilities. Requires strong interpersonal communication skills, frequent coordination with staff at all levels of the agency, and exceptional attention to detail. Demonstrates actions and attitudes that contribute to the achievement of AHCs critical success factors (eg, best place to work, most extraordinary experience, superior outcomes, financial success for reinvestment, a growing organization vital to the community and valued as a faith-based organization). Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Accounting or Business Administration. Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and standards. Knowledge of OMB Uniform Guidance is required Two-three years of general accounting experience that includes the preparation and analysis of financial statements and account reconciliations and experience with federal grant management and compliance Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products. Ability to work independently and handle a multi task environment. Strong customer service, interpersonal skills, professional demeanor and communication skills. Strong stewardship of confidential data. Project development, planning and execution. Must have and continuously demonstrate good/sound professional judgment.
