Revenue Cycle Coordinator MAS

Facilitates problem resolution and communication. In addition to meeting with client department leadership and key clinical leaders, supports the efforts to achieve the short and long term strategic revenue cycle goals of the clients department. Using industry guidelines and best practice standards provides analytical support to the client department's performance in a variety of areas, including but not limited to: scheduling, registration, coding, claims submission and adjudication. Synthesizes standard and ad hoc reporting to help client departments target opportunities and communicate performance. Qualifications EDUCATION: High school graduation or equivalent. Bachelors degree in related field preferred. EXPERIENCE: 3 years experience in healthcare. LICENSE/CERT/REG: No special certification, registration or license required. SKILLS: Ability to prioritize and handle tasks in a dynamic work environment. Associate must have comprehensive knowledge of receivable management and expert communication and problem resolution skills. To ensure optimal support, associate must foster collaborative relationships between MAS units and resources with client departments to resolve identified problems. Associate must have superb communication, both written and oral, skills. Must have ability to relate well with administrative staff. Must have advanced analytical skills, strong attention to detail including data analysis and procedure review. Proficiency with Microsoft office application--particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Report production and presentation skills. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Acts as a backup resource for administrative positions in the Ambulatory sites, including but not limited to assisting in the call center, preregistration or the front desk. Assists in developing and generates reporting on department performance and results for review by MAS Management. Assists in developing training materials. Assists in training and orientation for front desk staff (new staff and review for existing staff). Assists in periodic reviews of IDX for compliance to policy and procedures. Reviews denials and document cause(s). Assists in quarterly revenue cycle audits of Ambulatory sites. Assists in setting up meetings and training sessions for Ambulatory site staff. Completes reporting spreadsheets and possible revenue cycle dashboards. Contributes to the achievement of established department goals and objectives and adheres to department policies, procedures, quality standards and safety standards. Complies with governmental and accreditation regulations. Monitors the weekly and daily reports from PUBS and MedConnect, splits the reports by site, as necessary, and sends to site managers/team coordinators or PUBS liaison for action. Participates in multidisciplinary quality and service improvement teams as appropriate. Participates in meetings, serves on committees and represents the department and hospital/facility in community outreach efforts as appropriate. Participates in the managed care training sessions. Documents and disseminates relevant information to site managers. Performs other duties as assigned.
