Department:MD140_17551 Acute HemodialysisExpected Weekly Hours:36Shift:Rotating ShiftPosition Purpose:Job Description Details:General Summary:Is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating the nursing care to a specified group of patients.Supports the Mission of Trinity Health and Holy Cross Hospital.Minimum licensure/certification required (if applicable):Current licensure by the Maryland State Board of Nursing as a Licensed Practical NurseBLS trainedMinimum Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required:Successful completion, according to hospital policy, of the Pharmacology review and test given by Holy Cross Hospital within the probationary periodDemonstration of competence in administering medications according to Holy Cross Hospital standards within the probationary periodCertified in IV therapy according to Holy Cross Hospital policy within the probationary period.Reads, writes, speaks, and comprehends the English language.Must be able to push, pull, and lift patients with assistance as appropriate. Must be able to push, pull, and lift patient care equipment. Must be able to bend body downward at the waist and be able to kneel.Must have visual accuracy and auditory acuity.Must be able to coordinate eyes and hands quickly and accurately.Working Conditions:May be required to lift a minimum of 35 pounds as determined by the nature of the nursing unit. Must be able to push, pull, lift patients. Must be able to push, pull, lift, and move patient care equipment, i. e.: beds/stretchers. Must be able to bend body downward at the waist and be able to kneel.
