Position QualificationsHigh school diploma, GED equivalency, or suitable work experience in a managerial position sufficient to demonstrate high school level retail math and English skillsFive to eight years of related sales/retail/customer service experience; minimum of three years of direct managerial experience (leading teams and/or managing associates)Experience recruiting, assessing, selecting and developing associates, preferably in a retail environmentMust possess a valid driver s license and acceptable driving recordBasic Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook)Experience with Point of Sale (POS), SAP, and payroll and scheduling systems, preferredOutstanding telephone skillsAbility to drive/operate a forklift required (forklift certification required prior to operating equipment)Constant (more than 50% of the time) standing, walking, and hand/finger dexterityFrequent (between 33% -50% of the time) lifting & carrying up to 20 lbs.; pushing & pulling up to 15 lbs.Occasional (up to 33% of the time) sitting, reaching, using ladder to climb, squatting, kneeling, bending, and twisting; lifting & carrying up to 80 lbs.; pushing & pulling up to 80 lbs.Vision (Near, Distance, Color, Peripheral, Depth Perception) General Work Schedule:The SMIT assignment may require extensive travel and at the end of the assignment, individuals must be willing and able to minimally relocate within the region to which they are assigned. In general, a SMIT s work week consists of 5 days within the same work week. SMITs routinely work up to fifty (50), and sometimes more, hours per week based on business, staffing and customer needs. SMITs are expected to be regularly involved in store opening and/or closing as well as working some Sundays, evenings and holidays as required by business needs. Regular travel may be required.Periodically, SMITs may find it necessary to arrange their schedule to fill store staffing gaps due to associate absences, scheduled Paid Time-Off, special/promotional events or other business demands.
