Job Location: Alexandria, VA 22314 (Preferred) License or Certification: ServSafe Food Handler (Required) Language: English Salary: Relevant to experience Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Paid Time Off (PTO), Paid Holidays Job Responsibilities: Support Executive Chef in culinary duties as directed Rotate between the kitchen and manning the Grill on the rooftop Terrace Label, stock, and organize all ingredients Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen Ensure all food and other items are stored properly Comply with nutrition, sanitation, and safety guidelines Perform other kitchen duties as assigned Requirements: At least 2 years culinary experience (please emphasize relevant experience in resume) Able to speak and read English proficiently ServSafe Food Handlers certification is a must Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen Calm demeanor, able to stay positive and focused under pressure Reliable transportation necessary Physical Requirements Able to work 8-hour plus shifts Able to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods of time Able to grasp, lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs. as needed Finger/hand dexterity to operate kitchen machinery and knives Able to withstand changes in temperature, occasional smoke, steam and heat Able to work in a confined area Must possess hearing, visual, and sensory abilities to observe and detect emergencies Don't miss this incredible opportunity to join our professional family!
