This is a unique opportunity to take your hotel operations experience to the corporate level. The Comfort PIP Design Review Manager will maximize Choice Hotel International's mission and vision for the Comfort Inn and Comfort Suites brands conducting the Comfort Brands Property Improvement Plan (PIP) design submittal reviews. Specifically, this position will: coordinate with a portfolio of Comfort and Comfort Inn hotels, driving them toward the Comfort design packages, and interpreting design elements to successfully determine if they are aligned with brand strategy strive for on-time and completed design submittals that comply with deadlines per each hotel's PIP act a consultant with franchisees to encourage PIP work to be done properly and in a timely manner, and that products used are part on the Comfort Design Specification or in keeping with the design intent outlined by the Comfort Brand Team monitor compliance by tracking all signed PIPs and ensuring each hotel submits the required design submittals, keeping key stakeholders informed on progress, results, and any potential issues that could cause delays or sub-standard PIP work completion As the key headquarters contact, this person will respond to questions from the managed portfolio of hotels regarding completion of the PIP work assist procurement managers and franchisees identify purchasing needs for hotel products and services and turns leads into transactional sales ensure that all franchisee needs for products and services to complete PIPs are referred to qualified vendors Qualifications bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required prior hotel operations experience, preferably in a leadership position such as GM or Assistant GM experience with hotel renovations required; additional experience opening a new property preferred excellent communications skills (public speaking, individual negotiations, correspondence) and computer proficiency ability to work in a highly collaborative, matrixed environment results oriented with proven performance history must be able to uphold Choice's Values & Performance Principles of collaboration, performance excellence, sense of urgency, openness to new ideas, inclusion & diversity, integrity, customer focus, and respect Must be able to uphold Choice's Values & Performance Principles of accountability, collaboration, performance excellence, sense of urgency, innovation, inclusion & diversity, integrity & trust, customer focus, and respect.
