Global Compensation Analyst

We have an exciting opportunity for a Global Compensation Analyst at Bechtel, in our Reston Headquarters. This position is for an individual with a desire to play a key supporting role on our Corporate HR team, reporting directly to the Global Compensation Manager. The Global Compensation Analyst will participate in the design, implementation, and administration of global compensation programs that align with Bechtel's corporate and HR business objectives and total rewards strategies. The selected individual will support the full range of compensation processes. Core Duties & Responsibilities: Participates in developing and implementing compensation strategies by gathering and interpreting data, developing models, options, and reports, and contributing to the preparation of assessments and recommendations independently or as a member of a team Completes benchmarking salary surveys. Analyzes and summarizes results and prepares recommendations on salary structure adjustments and salary increase guidelines to maintain competitiveness in the market. This may include the administration of International Contract salary schedules Response to ad hoc requests for market data from organizations conducts competitive assessments and makes recommendations based on findings Conducts job analysis and gathers job documentation to create new and/or updated job descriptions Participates in studies to determine appropriate job titles and grade levels Keeps abreast of workforce trends and compensation best practices, identifying opportunities to improve programs and processes Collaborates with the Total Rewards team to prepare and administer the annual compensation planning process globally Participates in global compensation policy reviews and in developing new/updated policies, programs, and procedures Conducts research and studies to ensure global compensation programs and processes comply with legislative regulations and statutory requirements Provides guidance and advice to HR Business Partners and regional HR organizations across the full range of compensation areas, including the interpretation and application of compensation policies and practices Required Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related area of study 6+ years' experience in compensation Strong analytical ability and problem-solving skills to evaluate problems and apply knowledge to determine appropriate solutions to resolve issues effectively Advanced MS Excel skills Ability to work strategic issues along with a strong attention to details Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across all levels in the organization Preferred Qualifications: International compensation experience a plus Experience with pivot tables and complex formulas a plus Be a part of a company whose mission and vision are to put people first, allowing for successful internal growth and encourages an environment which provides our internal personnel to thrive.
