We have an exciting opportunity for a Global Compensation Manager at Bechtel, in our Reston Headquarters. This position is for an individual with a desire to play a key role on our Corporate HR team, reporting directly to the Manager, Total Rewards. The Global Compensation Manager position is responsible for the design, analysis, execution, and compliance with compensation programs globally. As the global process owner, this individual will lead the on-going strategic development, implementation, and administration of competitive base salary and variable pay programs and policies globally across the varied industries and markets in which the organization works. Core Duties & Responsibilities: Act as a strategic business advisor, collaborate with HR business partners and regional HR teams to provide compensation solutions, expertise, and support on the full spectrum of compensation matters, ensuring alignment with strategic business and operational objectives. Identifies and leverages industry trends and best practices to ensure the design of compensation programs, policies, and processes are current, effective, and meet business goals. Leads and/or provides project management support for major strategic compensation initiatives, including change management and communication and roll-out strategies. Participates in providing overall management of the annual compensation planning process. Manages the global compensation team and establishes the strategic priorities for the group which aligns with overall corporate and HR business objectives. Establishes and manages the global market data collection process and the preparation of global competitive benchmarking analysis. Provides leadership for the design, development, and updating of national staff salary schedules, including international contract salary schedules. Has an overall responsibility to ensure compliance with compensation programs and practices with legislative requirements in the US and globally in the areas of base salary, overtime, workweek, special allowances, and other statutory provisions. Oversees the development and monitoring of enterprise-wide compensation policies, guidelines, and procedures globally. Manages the design and updating of internal processes for job analysis, job evaluation, and grades in conjunction with the review of external competitive market data. Directs the preparation and analysis of metrics and other reporting processes to monitor internal practices and track and report out on trends. Required Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related business field or equivalent experience/combined education 10+ years' experience of progressive levels of responsibility in compensation roles Proven success in designing and implementing reward strategies and compensation programs Excellent analytical skills and ability to prepare and present executive management level reports and presentations Excellent project management skills Ability to balance strategic thinking with detailed, focused execution Strong ability to build relationships and partnerships across functions to deliver solutions and services that meet business needs; excellent consultative skills Strong understanding and use of HRIS systems (SAP and SuccessFactors preferred), metrics, and planning tools to support compensation programs Experience managing international compensation programs desirable Preferred Qualifications: CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) Thorough knowledge of Bechtel's organizational structure and HR policies, practices, and processes obtained through experience in a corporate or operational role highly desirable Be a part of a company whose mission and vision are to put people first, allowing for successful internal growth and encourages an environment which provides our internal personnel to thrive.
