The Wellwood is currently seeking qualified Restaurant Managers. Motivated & energetic candidates must perform the following essential functions and demonstrate knowledge of:Caring for our Team through proper recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, scheduling, coaching, counseling, monitoring staff performance and disciplining when necessary.Clearly communicating job expectationsEnforcing staff policies & proceduresOverseeing front of house work flow, work stations & assignmentsEnsuring guest dining & service satisfactionWorks with all departments to minimize wasteAssist with promoting & planning eventsMaintain a safe, secure and healthy environment for our team & our guestsMaintain a pleasurable atmosphere for our guests dining pleasureAbility to handle multiple events at the same timeOn-site event executionGood organizational skillsGood communication skillsProper opening and/or closing procedures including receipt processingKnowledgeable use of POS systemMaintain food & beverage safety practices, maintain clean & sanitary storage areasSupervise/manage the team to include efficient staffing, employee development, performance management.Develops strategies for increasing sales and profitability within management scope.Prepares the weekly event work schedules.Resolves guest complaints within scope of authority; otherwise refers the matter to general management. Notifies senior management and/or Security of all unusual events, circumstances, missing items, or alleged theft.Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:2 years prior management experience requiredHigh school diploma or equivalent/Culinary certification or degree preferredExperience in multi-tasking of projects and project management.Basic Administrative computer skills.Excellent guest service and hospitality skills.Strong problem solving and listening skills.Self-motivated with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to handle and maintain confidential information.Ability to function and act independently.Ability to function in a fast paced environment, under short time constraints, and within established deadlines.Ability to work a flexible schedule including extended hours, weekends, and holidays.
