Hank s on the Wharf is looking for an experienced Sous Chef to join our team! Responsibilities include:Working the stations in the kitchen to prepare food itemsAccurately handling food items to minimize wasteAbility to learn, understand, and to execute daily recipes and menusPreparing mise en place for daily serviceTaking part in pre-service duties and applicable closing dutiesDemonstrating a passion for details and a willingness to learnUpholding service preparation and culinary standards to ensure a memorable guest experienceMaintaining and upholding our company's vision and valuesParticipating in service/culinary education sessionsMaintaining a safe, sanitary, and organized work environment Qualifications:2 years sous chef experienceStrong knowledge of cooking techniques, food preparation, and knife handlingDemonstrate clear written and verbal communication skillsAble to work in a team environment and welcome feedback and directionCapability to stand for prolonged periods of timeLift up to 50 pounds of weightAbility to reach, bend, stoop, climb up and down stairs, walk, carry multiple objectsAbility to work in an environment with hot and cold conditions
