We're looking for a personable, customer-focused retail butcher to join our team of dedicated food professionals. The ideal candidate is someone who has worked with food before and is ready to demonstrate excellent customer service. Our charcuterie selection is world-class, so don t be intimidated by the slicer! Our butcher is someone who can quickly, or be trained to quickly, process and prep meat for sale and kitchen use. Our butcher is an open minded individual who is able to balance taking direction and working as part of a team with being a self-starter with initiative. This job requires a multi-faceted and multi-talented butcher who is comfortable wearing many hats throughout the day with responsibilities ranging from sales, to inventory management, food prep, creative problem solving and assisting during in store meat and cheese events. This job also requires the desire to cross-train into other aspects of our dynamic and evolving business. Responsibilities include: Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service Assessing customers needs and providing assistance and information on products Maintaining and organizing inventory both on shelves and in storage Actively seeking out customers in store Becoming and remaining knowledgeable on products offered Cross selling productsTeaming up with co-workers to ensure proper customer service Experience in food service or with cheese is appreciated, but enthusiasm, willingness to learn and contribute to a fun, social, cooperative retail service environment is essential.
