Associate Attorney - Information Technology
Job Description A Tampa, Florida based attorney, with a rapidly growing practice, has an immediate opening for a highly skilled Associate Attorney with 3+ years of technology, regulatory, and transactional experience . The position will involve significant work on information technology matters, including, drafting and negotiating software purchase and development agreements, end user license agreements, and working with clients to develop privacy and security policies as well as advising clients on data sharing. The position will also involve significant work in the healthcare space, including advising clients on HIPAA compliance, physician licensing, fee splitting, as well as other healthcare regulatory matters. This is not a litigation position. Full-time position . Starting salary is negotiable ; commensurate with relevant work experience, abilities, and market. Reimbursement for reasonable relocation expenses for the right candidate. *Position Qualifications* : Experience with drafting a variety of technology agreements, developing policies and procedures, and providing legal advice on compliance matters. Experience with various privacy and security regulations and frameworks, including HIPAA and NIST. Experience with advising clients on healthcare regulatory compliance matters, including Stark, the Federal Anti-Kickback Statute, and physician fee splitting. Strong critical thinking and analytical skills. Demonstrated understanding of contract drafting fundamentals. Demonstrated ability to provide excellent client services in a timely and efficient manner. Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to explain complex legal principles to non-experts in a succinct and understandable manner. Detail oriented problem-solver with ability to function in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple competing priorities. Self-starter with a demonstrated ability to work in a team-oriented environment and meet deadlines. Collegial and collaborative mindset, with a client first attitude. *Position Requirements* : 3+ years of relevant work experience. Previous law firm experience. Strong academic background. Florida Bar license (or to be admitted within a year of being hired). Able and willing to work daily in the Tampa Florida office. Proficient in standard law firm technology, including the Microsoft Office family of products and Lexis Advance.
