We have an immediate opening for a Human Resources Support Assistant located in Ashburn, VA. This highly responsible position is part of a small division that plays a key support role to a large department of over 2000+ regular and temporary employees. The ideal candidate will: Have a positive attitude, good communication skills, and be self-motivated Be a strong team player with the ability to work independently Possess strong organizational skills, detail orientation and ability to meet deadlines Confidently work with various technologies Maintain confidentiality at all times Demonstrate your administrative skills as you coordinate and maintain employee records, process a large volume of employee actions, provide assistance with electronic timecards and payroll for the department, and support the PRCS Department HR Manager in day-to-day operations of the division and with special projects. With a customer service focus, provide support to hiring managers and department staff, respond to questions from employees regarding basic HR related matters, present training on HR related topics to staff and respond to applicant inquiries. Utilize your technical and organizational skills to create and streamline processes, coordinate and attend job fairs and provide back up for advertising requests and job postings. Exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality as you process background checks for employees and in all aspects of the position. This position works closely with County human resources and payroll divisions. Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills are essential. Experience with computer automated systems and Microsoft Office are required. Experience with Oracle systems strongly preferred. Ability to maintain confidentiality and diplomacy are essential to success in position. Ability to speak Spanish is a plus. Previous experience in a HR environment strongly desired. Comfort with technology and systems is key to success in the position.
