  • You qualify for the GS-13 grade level (starting salary $96,970) if you possess one year of specialized experience at the GS-12 grade level performing duties such as: 1) Initiating investigations from informant tips or leads; 2) Developing evidence involving financial crimes, including contract or procurement fraud, by interviews, documentary searches, surveillance, etc.; 3) Participating on multi-agency task forces and working groups involving contract or acquisition fraud and/or financial crime investigations; 4) Preparing concise, logical reports and summaries involving major fraud and corruption investigations; 5) Maintaining liaison with law enforcement agencies at the local, state, and national level as it relates to financial crimes investigations; 6) Executing search and arrest warrants pursuant to criminal investigations; 7) Testifying in criminal, civil or administrative court proceedings.

    Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
