In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of progressively responsible intelligence related security experience equivalent for in-service applicants GG/GS 07 grade level in federal service and for external applicants (outside the Federal Government) equivalent to the GG/GS 08 grade level which includes experience applying a variety of technical and administrative duties of significant complexity in support of security planning, programming and policy development. Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector or in another government agency as long as it was at a level at least equivalent to the next lower band in the series.
