Supporting the Most Exciting and Meaningful Missions in the WorldInspection SpecialistConduct more complex and detailed reviews of equipment, materials, and deliveries after armed security / police have cleared vehicles and personnel. May work in various locations such as shipping and receiving warehouses, construction sites, delivery points, or similar indoor or outdoor locations. Proper clothing and safety gear shall be provided by the contractor.Be responsible for training personnel on the use of all designated equipment, which will be recorded on a Training Roster, as referenced under paragraph 3, Contract Deliverables, of this Statement of Work.Ensure that all packages, bags, boxes, crates, or other means of introducing material onto the construction site or into a secure area are inspected for questionable or prohibited items. This includes inspecting for weapons, explosives, contraband, biohazards or prohibited hazardous materials. Training pertaining to this type of work shall be provided by the contractor in accordance with applicable local, state and federal laws.Assist in the use of varied means of inspection to include, but not limited to, metal detectors, use of x-ray machines, physical and visual examination. (NOTE: All required equipment will be provided and maintained by another contractor or the Government.)Interface with security managers, logistics and shipping personnel or other government managers regarding prioritization of inspections and coordinated storage requirements.Notify the security manager, SSM or designee of any impediments to timely and effective inspection, including but not limited to deficiencies or malfunctions in any Government Furnished Equipment (GFE).Maintain a secure work environment and control access to secure space, limiting access to designated cleared personnel and escorting non-security personnel making deliveries.QualificationsActive Top Secret clearance or the ability to receive a Top Secret clearanceInspection Specialist must have at least 3 years' experience in at least one of the following areas of expertise: Security surveillance, Technical Surveillance Countermeasures, Industrial or Government security involving counterintelligence.
