Responsibilities include: Proactively work with the Business Manager and team to successfully satisfy programmatic and financial organization objectives. Ensure program costs are collected correctly by maintaining active charge numbers, monitoring actual charges, and processing transfers when appropriate. Measure performance against established budgets and analyze variances. Maintain Project Tracking Spreadsheets and related documentation. Monitor funding status providing reliable and timely notification of funding status with line item detail. Prepare financial Contract Data Requirements (CDRL) for programs. Ensure contractual requirements are met and Customer financial deliverables are accurate and on time. Review and approve invoices for submission to customer. Monitor billing status and unbilled issues, work to resolve issues in a timely manner. Carefully monitor program revenue and profit recognition to minimize risk to the entire organization. Analyze revenue and profit risks and opportunities on an ongoing basis. Assist in Preparation of Basis of Estimates (BOEs), Rough Order of Magnitude (ROMs) Cost Estimates, and Project Estimate at Completion (EACs). Assist non-Herndon PMs with Staff Interface Issues. Support audits of financial information by internal and external auditors. Provide ad-hoc assistance, analysis and reporting as requested by management and others.Required Skills: 0-2 years of finance experience Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Ability to obtain a Top Secret Security ClearanceDesired Skills: Experience with SAP Financials and/or SAP MRP Understanding of EVMS, Program Controls (Cost/Schedule), and EAC concepts Strong system or technical capacity Organizational, prioritization, analytical, and problem solving skills Ability to communicate effectively with multiple levels of management Required Education (including Major): Bachelor s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field of study
