What You Will Do:Under limited supervision, the Nuclear Medicine Technologist is responsible for diagnostic nuclear medicine imaging at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Will perform a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment, with ingenuity and initiative in applying technical imaging factors and anatomical positions. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist will demonstrate a professional approach in his/her work, with emphasis on patient care, while still maintaining patient safety. Be responsive in the need to use proper radiation safety principles, both for the safety of the patient as well as themselves and co-workers. Assume responsibility for designated area as required. Patients served include infant through adult-geriatric.PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES1. Participates in development and attainment of department of Radiology/Nuclear Medicine goals.9. Participates in peer review and department quality improvement activities.10. Participates in standards development.11. Practices effective problem identification and resolution skills as a method of sound decision making. Accepts change as apart of the problem-solving process.12. Consistently applies resolutions that have been identified as effective. Demonstrates effective communication methods andskills, using line of authority appropriately.13. Attends hospital and departmental meetings as required or assigned.
