Air Traffic Control Specialist

Applicants must demonstrate at least one year (52 weeks) of SPECIALIZED experience equivalent to the next lower grade/pay band (FG/GS-14/FV-I) in the Federal government or non-Federal equivalent. Specialized experience is defined as that which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities required to successfully perform the duties of the position, and is typically in or directly related to the line of work of the position to be filled.
Qualified applicants must demonstrate experience in a civilian or military air traffic facility that provided a comprehensive knowledge of appropriate air traffic control laws, rules and regulations.
SPECIALIZED experience at the FG/GS-14/FV-I includes:

This Level 4 (Special Sensitive; TS/SCI) position requires favorable adjudication of a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) background investigation prior to appointment.
This is a temporary (appointment or promotion) NTE 13 months; however, it may be extended for 11 mos. or terminated at any time, at management discretion.
This is not a bargaining unit position.
