Summer Research Assistant, Department of Physics - Georgetown College

Georgetown Physics is a vibrant community of faculty, students, postdocs, and staff committed to Georgetown's mission as a student-centered research university. Our academic programs feature close student-faculty interactions and include undergraduate majors in physics and biological physics, as well as a novel Industrial Leadership in Physics Ph.D. track for graduate students.

The Summer Research Assistant, a temporary staff member, will interact with the Principal investigator and other members of the research group and collaborators to advance research projects, in duties that include but are not limited to performing experiments in the lab.


  • Possess or seeking a Bachelor's degree in physics or closely related field
  • Experience with some or all of the following co, data analysis using MATLAB or similar programming environment, and microscopy and biophysical laboratory techniques
  • Attention to detail

This temporary position will end on or about July 31, 2018.
