Bregman, Berbert, Schwartz & Gilday, LLC, an AV-rated, full-service law firm located in Downtown Bethesda, is looking for an energetic, experienced and reliable Legal Secretary/Legal Assistant to support 5-6 attorneys in its Commercial Real Estate and Litigation departments. 

**Applicants MUST have strong word processing, typing, document editing and formatting skills (Microsoft Word & Excel) and understand that these tasks are a large part of the position.** 

Essential Responsibilities:
Supporting 5-6 attorneys (with the majority of time spent assisting a senior partner), which includes, but is not limited to, the following duties: word processing/typing/re-keying; transcription; dictation; document revisions; document formatting; document redlining; attorney time entry; file maintenance (including keeping a large number of paper and electronic files organized and easy to find); calendar maintenance; drafting correspondence; assisting with document productions; copying; mailing (including certified mail, FedEx); keeping status lists and client information up-to-date; providing occasional back-up phone coverage for receptionist; making some travel arrangements; maintaining attorneys' various organization membership files. Experience operating a typewriter and dictation machine strongly preferred.

Required Skills/Attributes: 
• Accurate typing speed of 65+ wpm 
• Strong word processing/document formatting skills
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), including experience with redlining (Word "compare docs" function) - candidate must be willing to take a short practical exam

Required Education and Work Experience:
• Three or more years' experience as a Legal Secretary, Legal Assistant or Paralegal
