  • For the GS12: You must have at least one year of experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in the Federal service. To qualify at this level, the experience should include performing a variety of NBIB operational, administrative and analytical duties in support of the office; an understanding of the processes used in NBIB to process administrative matters such as reviewing documents for timeliness and completeness; track and monitor correspondence; screening callers and visitors to the office to determine the nature of business and responding/following up appropriately; and creating and maintaining various reports for management.

    Merit promotion applicants must meet time-in-grade requirement as defined in 5 CFR 300, Subpart F. One year at the GS-11 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS 12 level.

    You must meet all qualification and eligibility requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.

    Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

    This job does not have an education qualification requirement.

    Relocation expenses will not be paid.

    The full performance level of this position is GS-12.
