To qualify, applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade (GS-12) in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Specialized experience is defined as work that involves experience in a position closely comparable, with substantive program or managerial analysis responsibility in carrying out duties associated with a facilities management program focused on project management, aspects of quality improvement, office relocation on a large scale, providing support with technical issues, associated aspects of financial accountability, and the ability to communicate effectively with others both orally and in writing. Absolutely crucial for this position is demonstrated ability to serve as a project manager for large acquisition projects involving SPACE MANAGEMENT, to include office renovations, associated design, PLANNING, construction, and technical review. Inherent in such experience would be the ability to advise management of project status, potential delays, or issues that require management's attention. Note that if you do not present with the prescribed level of experience along with the substantive demonstrated knowledge, skill and ability as described, you will not be considered qualified for further consideration.

Promotion Potential: The selectee may be promoted to the full performance level without further competition when all regulatory, qualification, and performance requirements are met. Selection at a lower grade level does not guarantee promotion to the full performance level.
Time-in-grade: Applicants who are/were current federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements. For a GS-13 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-12 level. To support your claim of time in grade, you must submit your most recent appointment, promotion, or within grade increase SF-50. Physical Requirements: The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items such as papers, books, small parts; driving an automobile, etc. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.
