  • To qualify for this Supervisory Intelligence Specialist GS-0132-15:

    You must possess one year of experience at the GS-14 or equivalent level which provided you with specialized experience. Specialized experience is defined as: Providing guidance for evaluating a wide range of intelligence information to determine potential or actual threats and risk; creating and establishing methodologies to solve analytical problems when finished intelligence contains threat and risk information gaps that are difficult to validate; developing scenarios of potential threat and risk outcomes in a variety of factors; leading the development of plans, programs, policies, and agreements in order to integrate and focus the integrated cyber/physical infrastructure threat and risk analysis within an agency; producing and implementing business plans in accordance with an organizations strategic plan; coordinating with internal and external agencies to identify and review cyber/physical infrastructure information needs; assigning and coordinating work to be completed by subordinates; setting short term work priorities and preparing schedules for completion of work; developing performance standards for employee evaluations; conducting modeling simulation and analysis capability development; analyzing large quantities of highly technical and specialized intelligence data from various sources and independently determining if management should be advised of any developments requiring immediate action.

    National Service Experience (i.e., volunteer experience): Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide
    valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

    Current or Former Political Appointees: The Office of Personnel Management (OPM) must authorize employment offers made to current or former political appointees. If you are currently, or have been within the last 5 years, a political Schedule A, Schedule C, Non-career SES or Presidential Appointee employee in the Executive Branch, you must disclose this information to the Human Resources Office.

    The qualification requirements listed above must be met by the closing date of this announcement.

    Time-in-Grade
    Current federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade level or equivalent grade band in the federal service. The time-in-grade requirement must be met by closing date of this announcement.

    Submit a copy of your most recent Notification of Personnel Action (SF-50) that demonstrates your eligibility for consideration, e.g., length of time you have been in your current/highest grade (examples of appropriate SF-50s include promotions, with-in grade/range increases); your current promotion potential; proof of permanent appointment if applying based on an interchange agreement; etc. Please note: While a General Adjustment and/or Award SF-50 may be your most recent SF-50 it typically DOES NOT show proof of Time in Grade. Thus, you may have to submit more than one SF-50 as proof of Time in Grade.

    You must submit to a drug test and receive a negative test result prior to appointment to this position. After appointment, you may be subject to periodic random drug testing.

    Employees who are initially appointed to supervisory positions must serve a supervisory probationary period for one year.
