Senior Director, Launch Excellence
- Represent Regional Marketing on all business development and new product pipeline activities. Collaborate and drive engagement with key stakeholders (ie BA, supply chain, R&D etc.). Ensure NA is adequately represented in acquisition assessments and product portfolio considerations. Represent and contribute to NA in business case development, forecasting, new product positioning, NA customer ad boards, R&D activities, etc. - Partner with LOB Managers to establish annual existing product improvement priority lists with Business Areas. Lead effort, (in close collaboration with LOB Managers), to identify product enhancement opportunities across all lines of business. Work with sales leadership to determine customer POV on product enhancement opportunities that present barriers to increased pull through, competitive wins and customer satisfaction. Collaborate with Business Areas to set priorities and track progress quarterly. - Represent NA in new product positioning and value proposition development. Work with Business Areas and established GBT's to ensure customer facing positioning and sCompanyequent content development is relevant to NA customers and is integrated into the larger “Why Qiagen” product positioning message. - Manage all partnership relations (vendors, product manufacturers, distributors etc.) on all NA Commercial Ops related new product introductions for six months post market introduction. - NA external Market assessment Identify and assess market conditions total available market, competitive activity, customer buying dynamics, product market performance projections, external opportunity and risk assessments. - Drive engagement with internal stakeholders related to BD and product enhancement activities. Represent NA in communicating to the larger NA Marketing team and Sales leadership on activities and timing related to the aforementioned. Provide sales force customer messaging (when applicable) to maintain line of sight of Qiagen investments in product enhancements. - Establish launch excellence procedures and activities for all new product extensions and product acquisitions. Drive engagement with key stakeholders for new product launch preparation. Partner with LOB Managers to assist and direct in ensuring new product launch success. - Take ownership of the NA Bio informatics LOB. Work with key stakeholders to solidify a market position and value proposition. Work with the associated GBT to develop an integrated marketing and communication plan that supports all LOB relevant products.. Drive growth against budget. Work with Business Areas to establish service/product enhancement feature priorities and timing. Position Requirements - 10 years + Marketing/Commercial Operations experience. - Associate Director or higher Line of Business oversight/Product franchise ownership. - Experience with P&L oversight. - Experience with demand forecasting oversight, interaction. - Proven experience and success collaborated with Business Areas and supply chain management. - Experience managing direct and indirect teams. - Sales experience preferred but not required. - BS in business, marketing or other commercial operation. - Healthcare experience a plus but not required. - Graduate degree a plus, but not required. Personal Requirements - Strong leadership skills required, ability to drive engagement and collaborate. - Ability to drive results and hold yourself and others accountable while maintaining a positive and effective working relationship. - Must have both strategic and tactical execution abilities.
