Job Description: Sentara Healthcare is seeking Housekeeping Associates who will perform cleaning functions in assigned areas. Housekeeping Associates are responsible for the safety and cleanliness of the hospital or other healthcare facility. Current Openings:

Environmental Service Tech I - Responsible for maintaining assigned area(s) in a clean, orderly and sanitary condition. Practices safe work habits through the appropriate use of chemicals, various equipment and cleaning applications to include: damp dusting, mopping, scouring, scrubbing, stripping and polishing. Adheres to all regulatory standards for waste collection and transport-Creates a clean environment by cleaning assigned areas, furnishings, fixtures, walls, floor covering, and equipment-Collects, handles, removes and disposes of regulated and non-regulated waste.

REQUIRED-HS Diploma or Equivalent

Environmental Service Tech III (Floor Tech) - Responsible for maintenance of floors. Practices safe work habits through the appropriate use of chemicals, various equipment and cleaning applications to include: mopping, scouring, scrubbing, stripping and polishing. Cross trained to Environment Service Tech I competencies in order to provide cleaning duties when necessary-Sweeps, dusts and wet/damp mops floors; operates floor, cleaning and maintenance equipment; buffs, waxes, strips and polishes floors.
REQUIRED-HS Diploma or Equivalent
REQUIRED-1 year Environmental Service Tech I experience

Equipment Resource Associate- Responsible for medical equipment supplies in a healthcare organization. Responsibilities include cleaning, maintaining, performing functional checks and repairing/ coordinating the repair of the equipment prior to being issued/reissued to patient.

REQUIRED-HS Diploma or Equivalent

Team Leader, Environmental Services Department (ESD) - Responsible for maintaining assigned areas and equipment in clean and orderly condition to provide an appropriate environment. Provides direct service, and provides functional supervision to staff. Serves as a resource for Team Members, trains staff; provides staff with work assignments and ensures work is completed; monitors work quality and timeliness; assists in the development, implementation, and evaluation of quality improvement and customer service activities.

REQUIRED-HS Diploma or Equivalent
REQUIRED-2-years Environmental Service Tech experience.
