The Wound Specialist RN is responsible for establishing standards of care and clinical competencies related to wound care to meet patient needs, working with the clinical staff to improve patient outcomes and wound care training programs to ensure clinical staff expertise. Conducts home visits for wound ostomy and continence as needed for oversight and consultation. Works collaboratively with the clinical care team to accomplish optimal patient outcomes. Evaluates wounds and recommends changes to plan of care on all wounds that are non-healing or have not shown progress in two weeks. Conducts wound rounds at each branch. Consults with clinicians for complex wounds and recommends appropriate treatment.

Work Schedule

Monday through Friday, required to work one weekend every 8 to 12 weeks.
