Primary responsibility is to maintain base building services and operations at all times. This requires technical knowledge of all base building systems to implement maintenance and repairs to ensure optimal operations. The Assistant Chief Building Engineer will ensure training, safety, policies, procedures, standards, and reporting of all maintenance functions and repairs. This position reports directly to the Chief Building Engineer in Fairfax, Virginia.

- Minimum of 5+ years as a Lead or Assistant Chief Building Engineer level responsibilityPossess a current Virginia Journeyman HVACR or DC Class III License.Must be Universal Technician for CFC’sElectrical and Plumbing License a plusExperience managing and using Building Automation System. Siemens Apogee / Insight experience preferred.Experience using CMMS software to track maintenance, repairs, and tenant requests electronically.Knowledge of base building systems, applicable laws/codes, and proper safety documentation requirementsExperience managing staff, contractors, vendors, major repairs/replacements, tenant build-outs, renovations, and capital improvements.Must be able to respond to emergencies within 60 minutes on a 24/7 basis.Ability to work well with all levels of management and staff.Motivated self-starter, organized, and ability to handle multiple tasks in any given day.Proficient in Microsoft Office software products.Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and good driving record.Ability to safely lift 50lbs
