Position Title: Project Delivery Manager

Location: Leesburg, VA; Arlington, VA; and North Bethesda, MD

I: Essential Job Functions:

Project manage implementation of Salesforce software applications platform in enterprise scale public sector environments;

Manage deployment of Salesforce application modules including, but not limited to, case and correspondence management, social media management, web-based user services, community collaboration, mobile workforce and application rationalization;

Determine enterprise and user technical requirements of Salesforce software modules through consultations with management, staff, and other stakeholders;

o Plan application development projects;

o Develop scoping and staffing plans;

o Assist in selecting and staffing KVortex Salesforce staff onto the projects

o Manage the full lifecycle development of applications by leading sessions with end-users and developers to design the solution; assigning development tasks to KVortex developers as they build the solution; monitoring development progress, as well as testing and deployment of the solution; and providing weekly status reports indicating project progression.

o Meet with end client stakeholders and end-users to determine their functional requirements for

o Facilitate requirements sessions and other workshops, as needed, to elicit and document these requirements.

In coordination with project team, establish user, management, and technical standards, policies, and procedures for enterprise-wide Salesforce 'Center of Excellence' in support of large scale adoption of Platform as Service and Software as Service platforms;

o Draft technical development best practices and coding standards;

o Draft Center of Excellence governance frameworks.

Establish DevOps tools, process and procedures to facilitate rapid deployment of new Salesforce-based applications and updates using DevOps concepts and methods to promote efficiency and to promote interdepartmental cooperation;

o Assist in documenting how the end client’s 'Development Operations' (aka 'DevOps') team will incorporate a system into their existing Continuous Integration/Continuous Development (aka 'CI/CD') processes.

o Document the processes by which Salesforce code will be deployed across virtual Salesforce environments and how existing end client tools need to be configured to facilitate the code deployment

Lead Salesforce software application development teams across business units to ensure projects can integrate designs on a single platform.

Develop software to meet both the business acceptance criteria and Salesforce implementation best practices.

Manage delivery of both iterative and continuously integrated code releases;

Help grow and develop professional consultants by helping lead recruiting efforts, providing senior guidance and leadership to junior resources, and establishing guidelines, best practices, and templates;

o Help establish KVortex corporate project management templates and best practices;

o Assist in identifying potential Salesforce candidates for KVortex to hire by helping to screen candidates, interview candidates, and assist with candidate selection for employment

o Provide mentorship guidance to junior KVortex staff in core consulting skills such as workshop facilitation, requirements elicitation, business process reengineering, and Salesforce project management

Provide senior guidance and advice for KVortex projects. Provide KVortex quality reviews for the projects;

o Review KVortex team work products, deliverables, and other project artifacts to assess alignment with best practices and KVortex corporate guidelines.

o Help identify any potential mitigation actions (if required) arising from quality reviews.

Provide senior leadership for the design and establishment of a Center of Excellence, and help onboard and manage junior developers.

II: Experience or Qualifications Required:

5 years of experience developing and project managing applications and DevOps tools in a large Enterprise environment.

Strong knowledge of and proficiency in (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Communities) technologies;

Demonstrated ability to establish a Salesforce Center of Excellence in an enterprise environment;

Strong knowledge of DevOps tools and implementation in a large enterprise environment,

Required Certifications:

o certifications including Developer, Administrator, and App Builder or equivalent certifications

III: Educational Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer or Electronics Engineering, Information Technology, or a closely related field
