Vencore is an AA/EEO Employer - Minorities/Women/Veterans/Disabled Responsibilities The individual shall provide communications and public affairs support for the National Nanotechnology Coordination Office (NNCO) that will include assisting in the planning, development, and execution of long-term communications planning and outreach strategies in support of the NNI. The individual will support the NNCO's efforts coordinating and collaborating among its various public, private, and government stakeholders.This will include development of news releases and preparation of written material for dissemination and publication, including social media content, website content, annual reports, presentations, and other related public information. This will also include supporting communications between the media and high-level government stakeholders.Requirements: Ten years' experience in communications or public affairs at the corporate level. Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills. Excellent writing and editing skills. Extensive knowledge of office hardware and software used for communications and social media. Knowledge of the vocabulary of nanotechnology and of the US Government. Technical knowledge or experience in nanotechnology or in a related scientific, engineering, or technological discipline preferred. Responsibilities: The senior consultant manages the project work as defined by the client contract. Will lead medium to large complex projects and major phases of very large projects. The senior consultant will manage the fact finding, analysis, and development of hypothe-sis/conclusions, production of final reports and delivery of presentations. Responsible for ensuring that the project delivers to client expectations on time and to budget. Has expert knowledge of practice, consulting group and matrixed organization operations and business objectives. Has in-depth knowledge of market/industry and service line.Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university which provides sub-stantial knowledge of the information sciences.Experience: Six years of intensive and progressive experience demonstrating the required proficiency levels related to task. Education may be substituted with 10 years of intensive and progressive experience demonstrating the required proficiency levels related to task.
