Job Title: Electrician Job Summary: EMCOR Government Services has an immediate opening for a Maintenance Electrician in the Ft. Meade area. The Technician will report daily to the EMCOR Operations Manager while providing quality workmanship and high work standards to maintain a professional working environment. This position is responsible for the more complex electrical issues associated with facility maintenance systems at the facility and performing general maintenance of equipment as required. Knowledge of and capable to perform electrical maintenance/repairs and various general tasks assigned. Qualified applicant must possess a valid Journeyman Electrical license, driver's license and have at least 3 to 5 years of hands on experience in facilities/electrical maintenance and dealing with a wide range of general type services. This is a union position with an hourly rate of $28.98 Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Must communicate effectively with Site Manager to determine service needs. Coordinate and supervise client sub-contractors while performing service on site. Electrical maintenance and repair skills. PM, troubleshoot and repair equipment as required. Working knowledge of building automation monitoring and adjustments. Respond to electrical issues, lighting repairs/bulb replacements, circuit failures and installations. Performs a wide variety of corrective maintenance work request. Assist other skilled employees to perform projects as requested. Assist the Team in maintaining, operating and troubleshooting the electrical systems, emergency generator, lighting systems and general maintenance issues such as plumbing and other general maintenance problems along other duty as assigned. Must be able to perform after hours and weekend callbacks. Qualifications: Must have a high school diploma. 3 years + of experience related to electrical facility maintenance. Valid US driver's license. Must have an active Electrical Journeyman License. NFPA 70E Training certification (National Fire Protection Assn.) Must be able to obtain a Security Clearance.
