The Human Resource Generalist will provide support of various human resource programs and initiatives for the employees primarily for our Northern Divisions. In addition, this position will lead the recruiting services for the northern divisions while also providing general HR support to the Corporate Human Resources, Payroll, and Benefits staff as needed. This position reports directly to the Human Resources Manager. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Duties and Responsibilities . Responsible for all recruitment activities for the Northern Divisions: will work with corporate and division management to identify selection criteria, determine area of search, advertise and pre-screen candidate's if requested. Will support the new hire process with each new offer presented as well as the onboarding process for all new hires. . Serves as a liaison to corporate payroll and benefits for all internal status changes, benefit updates, new hires, and terminations . Supports the company-wide benefit platform: advises employees on options available; provide new hires with benefits overview for onboarding; may assist and /or deliver benefits related presentations and information sessions as needed . Provide administrative support including, but not limited to, letters of offers, maintaining job descriptions, processing paperwork and data entry related to company's programs and processes . Provides guidance/direction on a daily basis to employees with HR questions. . Conduct exit interviews and provide insight on recommended actions . Provides program support for the Annual Review process . Assists in the coordination and supports the roll-out of any HR training related programs under the direction of the Human Resources Manager. . Assists with annual updates to compensation, and bonus and commission programs as requested . Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars as needed Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Effective communicator with employees in multiple states Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times Strong presentation skills with prior training experience is required Excellent written and verbal communication skills Capable of working with minimal supervision and perform effectively under tight time deadlines Must have valid drivers license for business travel Education & Experience: Undergraduate degree in Human Resources, Business or related discipline or a combination of college and equivalent related HR Generalist experience sufficient to perform the expectations of this position 5+ years of experience with proven HR Generalist skills and abilities PHR certification preferred Current or very recent experience with Ceridian/ADP
