Specialized Experience: One or more years of specialized work experience, equivalent to at least the GS-07 level of the Federal service, performing the following duties:
- Providing technical guidance and instruction to assistants on the application of a variety of complex, laws, regulations, directives, procedures, and local policies relating to legal authorities for processing personnel transactions;
- Administering all aspects of personnel processing correction actions, which may include History Correction Update Processing (HCUP) system packages for the correction and cancellation of historical personnel actions within the history database;
- Providing assistance with researching and validating nature of action processing codes and legal authorities for new or seldom used actions;
- Reviewing, coding, and updating personnel actions in EmpowHR or similar automated personnel data systems; and
- Preparing a variety of recurring and non-recurring HR transactions processing reports.
Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree, 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree, or an LL.B. or J.D. with major course of study in a field directly related to the work of this position. Combination: A combination of the specialized experience and graduate education as described above, such that they total 100% of the stated minimum qualifications for this specialty and grade. Only graduate education in excess of the first 18 semester hours may be used when combining education and experience for this specialty and grade.
