  • Although not required, the following certification is highly recommended: Federal Acquisition Certification for Program and Project Managers (FAC-P/PM) Level III or Industry Equivalent.

    You must have one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level in federal service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled.

    To qualify at the CU-15 level, you must have one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the CU/GS-14 level in federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors) performing the following duties: leading the planning, coordination, and execution of the full range of program management and software development life cycle activities for a mission critical, multi-year business systems modernization initiative. NOTE: Evidence of 52 full weeks of ALL of the above experience at the appropriate level must be clearly demonstrated on your resume or you will not be found eligible for this position.

    AND

    You must have IT-related experience in each of the following four competencies which must be supported by the information contained in your resume and other application materials. Experience must be IT related; the experience may be demonstrated by paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training (for example, IT certification), as appropriate.

    Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.

    Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services.

    Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.

    Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.

    SALARY: Pay will be set using NCUA's Compensation policy. The salary range shown is NCUA's Local Pay Rate (LPR) which includes a locality rate of 39.87 percent for the Alexandria, Virginia geographical area.
