The Internal Communications Specialist will be responsible for creating communication and marketing campaigns that drive employee engagement. This is a story-telling role that focuses on highlighting our mission, our work, and our people. Working with internal stakeholders and our social media/talent marketing team the Specialist will develop compelling content and communication that delivers effective and consistent messages to a globally dispersed employee base.  This role will require a relationship-driven approach to learn the organization, to create and curate content from your relationships, and communicate it all in a strategic and thoughtful way.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute internal communications strategy, that focuses on compelling content and programs
  • Lead the effectiveness of all internal communications platforms such as GuidePost, our internal communications website and Slack
  • Act as an internal communications partner for internal client groups and develop strategic narrative plans that think long-term, tying multiple communication moments together into broader strategies
  • Partners on cross-departmental projects and organization-wide initiatives from planning to execution in order to ensure successful change management to employees
  • Partner closely with social media team to align content with external messaging
  • Evaluates internal communication strategy, programs and channels and drives continuous improvement based on feedback and best practices
  • Write and edit content for mass distribution on multiple platforms
  • Develop creative video content

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a realtered field (communications/PR/marketing)
  • At least 2 years' experience creating and implementing an internal comms strategy
  • Working understanding of the use of all types of media
  • Ability to work with all levels of employees, including senior leaders
  • Strong project management skills with attention to detail
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills and strong interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to customer service and superior quality deliverables
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a highly cross-functional environment
