Development of communication programs to promote Oracle*s products and services. Direct all marketing activities within the context of the overall corporate plan for the achievement of short and long term business objectives, increased profit and market control. Be an active member of the global Marketing team to ensure consistency of marketing campaigns and messages. Disseminate key corporate information to the line-of-business and geography operations pertaining to new product development/launches. Act as a liaison with management to ensure that marketing activities are in support of sales plans. Direct marketing resources and budget to be deployed using the most appropriate marketing mix for the line-of-business and/or geography. Ensure consistency between global directions and single-geography and/or line-of-business implementation choices. Implement and monitor advertising campaigns on a line-of-business and/or geographical basis. Maintain necessary contact with major suppliers, agencies, customers, industry associations and government representatives to achieve marketing objectives. Provide effective performance management: set clear goals for all staff, provide regular feedback on performance and conduct a formal appraisal at the conclusion of the fiscal year. Manage the activities of the staff according to overall marketing strategies and budgets. Implement organizational changes in line with changing business and market needs. Assists in the development of short, medium, and long term plans to achieve strategic objectives. Regularly interacts across functional areas with senior management or executives to ensure unit objectives are met. Software business management experience. Sales and Marketing experience in the IT industry. E-business Internet practical know-how. Professional credentials in Marketing, Academic credentials desirable. Past experience in Sales desirable. The Energy & Utilities business at Oracle is looking fora demand gen rock star to continue to build and enhance the demand generationand digital function. This is an integral role to the marketing communicationsteam that works across multiple groups (Product Marketing, Solution Management,Marketing Communications, Sales, Sales Operations) to create campaignstrategies across all stages of the sales cycle. The ideal candidate is passionate about B2B technology andhas 10-12 years experience building global marketing/demand gen programs thatsuccessfully drive sales pipeline. Responsibilities include: * Lead the development of global integratedmarketing strategies and campaigns based on both buyer and business needs inconjunction with marketing communications, product marketing and sales leadership. * Own all digital properties for the business unit(including oracle.com/utilities) and create digital marketing strategiesfocused on building demand in the marketplace. Deliver best practices to regionalfield marketing teams and support them in their digital execution. * Oversee campaign execution and channel selectionacross regions. * Consult with regional field marketing teams onhow to best localize global campaign plans for distribution across key marketsin NA, EMEA and JAPAC. * Inform content development strategies to supportdemand generation and awareness efforts and partner with other departments(eg Product Marketing, Solution Management, Industry Strategy) on content creationefforts. * Evangelize account-based marketing approaches acrossthe organization and build an implementation strategy to support key salesfocus areas. * Create and optimize marketing processes inconjunction with Sales Operations and Corporate Marketing Operations aroundlead scoring, lead management, pipeline contribution and sales enablement. * Work with Sales Operations team to developreporting mechanisms to track campaign performance, pipeline contribution andinfluence metrics. Use this data to inform the executive team and marketingteam on campaign optimization, goal setting and sales play focus. * Collaborate with Sales Operations and FieldSales to ensure lead management processes are followed in a timely fashion soleads are optimized for conversion to pipeline opportunities * Manage Content Marketing Manager, who overseesOracle Utilities social media channel strategy, blog presence and community,and asset development. * Manage Demand Gen Manager and the execution ofall demand gen and digital marketing campaigns, as well as campaign reportingand analysis. * Collaborate with peers across industry marketingteams to build best practices and efficiencies within the Global Business Unitmarketing function. * Bachelors required (Marketing, Communication, orLiberal Arts); MBA desired. * Minimum of 10-12 years of B2B marketingexperience, prefer 5-8 years experience in SaaS/Software industry and minimum3 years in the utility industry * Experience planning and executing integrated marketingprograms from inception through completion and measurement of success * Experience in collaborating with Sales, planningagainst B2B buying cycles, and executing demand generation tactics * Excellent verbal and written communicationskills, with the ability to present complex ideas and influence executiveleadership (portfolio/samples of writing required) * Self-motivated, confident, energetic andcreative team player * Strong interpersonal skills and embraceschallenges and works proactively * CRM (eg, Salesforce.com) and marketingautomation systems (eg, Eloqua) experience are a must * Superior organizational skills - ability toestablish new processes and streamline current processes * Demonstrated experience in managing individuals * Ability to influence, lead and coach crossfunctional teams and champion new concepts and ideas
