  • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To be considered minimally qualified for this position, you must demonstrate that you have the required specialized experience for the respective grade level(s) in which you are applying:

    GS-13
    In order to qualify for the position at the GS-13 level, applicants must meet the requirement as described below:

    Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in federal service that provided you with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience includes:
    • Manage and maintain the agency's web site and oversees all website tasks performed by agency staff
    • Participate in the federal budget process and has experience with congressional justifications
    • Prepare material for interagency meetings, Congressional testimony and meetings, and assists in the preparation of other documents and
    • Provide written and oral guidance to senior officials.
    GS-14
    In order to qualify for the position at the GS-14 level, applicants must meet the requirement as described below:

    Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 level in federal service that provided you with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience includes:
    • Develop and execute a comprehensive communications and outreach strategy for internal
      external stakeholders.
    • Draft, review, and edit the Annual Report to Congress and the President and supervises the report's production
    • Respond to verbal inquiries and/or prepare written responses to government, academic, scientific, environmental, or other special interest groups or the general public in consultation with the appropriate staff members.
    • Lead the development of yearly communication plans, which identify tasks and deliverables
      and assigns individuals to each task and
    • Develop and design graphic and other visual used in all major communications and
      outreach products and efforts, such as reports, website content, social media and newsletters.
