  • The employee assigned to this position is designated as a MISSION CRITICAL EMPLOYEE. Mission Critical employees may be required to report for, or remain at, work in dismissal or closure situations due to adverse weather conditions, natural disasters, or other emergency situations (e.g., building closure due to power outage) causing disruptions of government operations, and are required to maintain contact with their supervisor during any dismissal or closure situation unless specifically excused by their supervisor.

You may qualify at the GS-14 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement:

One year of experience in the same or similar work equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (GS-13) requiring application of the knowledge, skills, and abilities of the position being filled. Candidates for this position must clearly demonstrate in their resume that they possess specialized experience in:1) applying knowledge of logistics management operations that involve planning, coordinating, evaluating, and continuous process improvement of logistical actions required to support an Agency's specified mission; 2) applying knowledge in the development and implementation of the Agency's facilities, fleet, and logistics policies and programs, and fleet management operations, planning, maintenance, and dispatching;3) applying knowledge in property accountability, uniform and equipment management, supplies, and services, and inventory and asset management, lifecycle management, and warehouse operations; 4) applying knowledge of planning, programming, budgeting and executing of logistics programs, and space portfolio management, facilities maintenance, and parking management for a medium or large agency;
5) applying knowledge of continuity of government, emergency management, and special event logistical support.



Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

There is no substitution of education for experience.
