Under the direction of the department¿s Senior Medical Physicist and RSO, your areas of responsibility will include and are not limited to: State of Virginia and North Carolina annual inspections, ACR accreditation, policies and procedures implementation and reviews, dose optimization initiatives, share responsibilities in teaching of radiology residents and perform radiation safety duties, as needed.

Other
Hold a master's or doctor's degree in physics, medical physics, other physical science, engineering, or applied mathematics from an accredited college or university. Preferred Masters or PhD. degree in Medical Physics from a CAMPEP accredited graduate program. At least 3 years experience in Radiology Physics is required. Experience in lieu of education may be accepted per ACR guidelines for all accredited modalities. American Board of Radiology or working toward ABR parts II and/or III. American Board of Radiology certification required within 3 years of hire. Be eligible to become a Private Inspector in the Commonwealth of Virginia, per VDH requirements and to obtain North Carolina registration to practice Medical Physics.
