Loan Services Team Lead
Position Description This position oversees day-to-day operational support to respective teams. In collaboration with the Supervisor, the Team Lead is responsible for coordinating assignments in an ongoing effort to provide seamless service to customers and ensure adherence to procedures, federal regulations and bank polices. This position is also expected to identify deficiencies in the team and solve to those as well as identify opportunities for improvement and work with their Supervisor and Manager on those identified to implement. Position Accountabilities * Ability to work independently, escalate up as needed and lead by example as a team player. * Ensuring that all teammates are properly cross trained to provide back-up when needed. * Responsible for overseeing the daily processing of work associated with the team. QC of work performed by team. Including, but not limited to-QC Loan maintenance, QC Unposted, QC Negative interest, QC Bank and UMG HMDA, QC CRA, Export/Import data from CRA WIZ, Decision Pro and Encompass, Preparing and maintaining Bank and UMG LAR. HMDA/CRA review and responsible for SLA/KPI tracking (Transaction Processing/Research Requests/Balancing and verifications), QC Unapplied payments, * Proactively research potential issues and provide solutions; executing as appropriate * Proactively ensuring team service levels are tracked and met on a daily basis and weekly updates provided to Supervisor * Adhere to all applicable laws and regulations governing bank operations, including compliance with the Bank's BSA/AML Policy and Procedures. * Identify and resolve exceptions; provide real time teammate feedback or appropriately escalate to management * Perform assigned production tasks that may vary in nature based on production levels and demands * Collaborate with the Supervisor in regards to hiring, training, coaching and performance evaluations of assigned team member(s) * Be able to perform all functions within the team * Provide high degree of professionalism and confidentiality in handling and having access to sensitive information and ensure all assigned team members adhere to Reg P requirements * Proactively identify process improvement opportunities * Accountable for updating, maintaining and adhering to department procedures in accordance with the Enterprise Policy and Procedure Governance * Participate on projects and team audits. Provide support to Supervisor on internal enhancement initiatives * Compliant with state, federal, regulatory and bank policies and procedures * Work with Supervisor as directed to monitor risk and ensure controls are functioning properly * Manage assigned team members daily schedules and PTO requests * Assist in the resolution of audit findings, identifying root cause and recommending corrective measures * Review and report applicable loans within Regulations for CRA and HMDA (Regulatory Team) AND QC the work performed by team * Support team in the daily and monthly balancing and reporting. (Balancing and Verification) * Provide pay off requests/verifications and research credit bureau disputes are ensure they are performed accurately and in a timely manner( Research Request) * Perform Quarterly Audits within the department (Regulatory); including the reporting to Management findings of these audits * QC of input and/or upload, ensuring this is completed daily (Balancing and Verification) * Oversight of the SBA reporting/remittance process (Loan Servicing-Research Requests) * Oversight of the monthly VSI/GAP/EDR/DGU remittances (Loan Servicing-Balancing ) * Oversight of the Loan Exception report for UMG Sub-Serviced loans (Specialized Services) * Oversight of the participation payments/wires and SWAP loan transactions processes (Research Requests) Organizational Relationship This position reports to the Supervisor - Loan ServicingPosition Qualifications Education & Experience * High School Diploma or Equivalent Required; Undergraduate Degree Preferred * Minimum of 5 years of experience with similar Loan Services experience Knowledge & Skills * Possess extensive and current knowledge of all operational duties and procedures, with proven ability to explain the purpose behind the process * Strong understanding of operations and workflow processes * Ability to effectively organize work load * Excellent customer service skills * Excellent oral and written communication skills * Detail oriented and quality focused * Proven problem solving and decision making abilities; able to think analytically * Able to handle multiple tasks * Flexible, able to adapt to change * Proficient computer skills relevant to Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint * Experience with loan operations processes. * Experience with loan products, documents and structure * Understanding of regulatory and legal requirements for loan operations and where to locate updates to these requirements. * Experience in participating on projects and process improvements We are proud to be an EEO/AA employer, Minority/Female/Disability/Veteran.
