Position: Human Resources Assistant Department: Human ResourcesReports to: Human Resource Manager Location: Sterling, Virginia Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. · New Hire administration from beginning to end: application, screening, new hire paperwork, I-9 completion, badging, etc.· Recruitment, employee relations, new orientations· Administer LOA and FMLA forms and pass to Benefits Manager· Administer sick, personal and vacation time forms and make sure proper signatures are attached· Aide HR team-Employee of Month, recognitions, celebrations· Aide HR team in any issues that will involve HR Manager-PAF's, responsibility counseling forms, write-ups, etc. and forward them to HR Manager· Administer all benefits-enrollments, edits, changes, terminations & cobra and forward to HR Benefits Manager for processing· Aide HR team in employee surveys and focus groups· Aid HR team in various administrative duties In addition to assisting the Human Resources team, receptionist duties will play a role in this position. The receptionist duties will include Strong customer relation's skills due to working with the public and assisting employeesAnswering phones, routing incoming calls throughout the unit, placing outbound callsFilingRetrieving, stamping, the sending out the mailGeneral office duties: ordering office supplies, maintaining office supplies stocked/organized, making photocopies and restocking paperData entryShredding confidential documents Required Skills:1-2 years Human Resources Assistant experience and/or Administrative Assistant background.Associates/Bachelor's Degree preferredMust have Organizational skills and ability to multitaskFast paced individual with high motivationProficiency with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, ExcelBilingual in English/Spanish a plusSpeak, read and write English/Spanish a plus
