Human Resources Coordinator Salaried - Full Time Human Resources Department Hanover, MD Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: . Under supervision of the HR Manager, act as lead over local HR team when appropriate . Provide support to HR department as it pertains to personnel and union issues . Develop and execute employee relations and retention programs/engagement activities and events . Respond to Unemployment claims and represent company at hearings . Provide reports from UltiPro; analyze and interpret data to create other reports as needed . Maintain personnel files and databases (I-9, DOT, PTO/Payroll, employee files, etc.) . Enter initial Workers' Compensation accident reports into the database and collect related documentation from employees; maintain W/C files and communication between employees, departments, and adjusters . Generate and collect forms and information, ensuring completeness and accuracy, to maintain integrity of payroll/HR records (PAF, benefits forms, FMLA, STD forms, etc.) . Conduct New-Hire Orientations and Benefits Orientations and ensure documentation is complete . Coordinator and prepare routine communication to department, company, applicants, employees, and unions . Act as contact to employees and applicants with basic HR, Payroll, benefits, or leave questions . Assist in the creation and implementation of training programs and tools . Perform general administrative work in support of the HR departmentQualifications (the following are preferred or desired unless specifically stated): Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience Minimum 3 years HR experience (5+ years preferred) Requires working knowledge of Microsoft Office products - Word, Excel, PowerPoint Must have good verbal and written communication skills (bilingual English/Spanish or English/French a plus) Solid business acumen with analytical and critical thinking skills Strong organization and time management skills Ability to communication professionally both verbally and in writing, to a variety of audiences, large and small High degree of initiative and self-motivation Must be able to maintain confidentiality Ability to work as part of a team Ability to understand operations to support a multi-faced organization Flexibility in work schedule to meet business needs Travel as needed (by car) to cross dock location(s): 5-10%; other travel: <1% Pay rate: Commensurate with qualifications and experience Closing date: Until position is filled How to apply: Applications must be submitted to the Human Resources.
