Business Relationships Program Manager
Serves in the Technology Program Support and Business Relationships Department in the Office of Technology at the Headquarters Office.
Advocates for and promotes IT services and capabilities, sharing knowledge of technology and leading internal business units in the achievement of performance objectives through the effective use of technology. Manages strategic support of IT initiatives, working as a liaison with business areas and their respective executive stakeholders to ensure business strategies align with enterprise-wide IT strategies and solutions for enabling the achievement of objectives through the effective use of technology. Performs related functions.
Establishes and manages relationships with business leaders and stakeholders of assigned business area(s).
Builds and demonstrates an in-depth understanding of customer priorities, needs and challenges, while promoting and sharing knowledge of IT/technology abilities to build competitive advantage and improve business unitsâ€™ efficiency and effectiveness.
Translates business challenges into defined and documented functional requirements for project management and execution; develops business cases and proposals to illustrate the value of proposed solutions and to persuade decision makers to approve proposed solutions.
Researches IT/technology/IoT solutions for stakeholdersâ€™ business challenges. Communicates technical approaches; collaborates with other IT managers to translate stakeholdersâ€™ vision into IT/technology solutions.
Communicates decisions, priorities and relevant project information to appropriate levels of staff regarding business unit requests and projects and initiatives.
Identifies, evaluates, and prioritizes IT/Technology Capital Investments (Investments). Ensures Investments are aligned and integrated into the Airports Authorityâ€™s strategic plan and objectives/activities of major business units.
Advocates the IT vision to non-technical audiences and manages stakeholder expectations by addressing concerns and keeping them informed of updates in a timely manner.
Advises on options, risks, costs versus benefits, and impacts on end-user products and services, business processes and system priorities.
Prioritizes IT/Technical initiatives while incorporating other senior IT managersâ€™ goals and requirements. Communicates priorities to key stakeholders.
Analyzes technology trends to determine relevance and makes recommendations on new opportunities to achieve business and performance goals.
Creates reporting tools and dashboards to collectively monitor project and request pipelines. Manages projects according to PMLC or SDLC frameworks.
Works with project managers to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Seven years of progressively responsible Information Technology experience with emphasis on business analysis and IT business relationship management.
Three years of specialized experience in managing large/complex IT/Technology projects within PMLC and/or SDLC frameworks.
Knowledge of and ability to apply business relationship management principles to establish and maintain strategic business relationships.
Knowledge of and ability to apply business management practices such as Business Analysis, Systems Analysis, Change Management, or Business Process Improvement.
Ability to perform detailed analyses of data and information, technology and business trends and develop actionable strategic plans.
Ability to speak and write effectively, with emphasis on communicating technical issues to nontechnical audiences and to develop persuasive business cases to sell proposed technology solutions to key decision makers.
Skill in using a computer and modern office software, in project and task management tools and knowledge of Enterprise system/software.
CBRM or BRMP certification from the Business Relationship Management Institute (BRMI)
Project Management Professional (PMP) or Program Management Professional (PgMP) certification issued by the Project Management Institute
An MBA degree or a masterâ€™s degree in a related field.
A Bachelorâ€™s Degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES REQUIRED
Certification in ITIL v3 (or newer) Foundations from an accredited examination institute such as APMI-International or Knowledge ToolWorks.

Work is typically reviewed in progress and upon completion for quantity, quality, timeliness, teamwork, customer service, and other factors.
