Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS), the nation’s 10th largest school district, located in suburban area just outside the nation’s capital, is seeking a dynamic individual to serve in the Division’s Office of Payroll Management within the Department of Financial Services. This individual performs a series of highly-responsible, complex technical-clerical tasks involved in the processing of a variety of accounting, bookkeeping, and financial tasks in the Office of Payroll Management.
The ideal candidate will possess combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school plus three years' office experience, one year related to the payroll accounting field. Knowledge of payroll accounting business office practices and procedures. Ability to operate personal computers and office equipment. Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures. Competency in Microsoft Office applications, accounting software application skills, and experience with spreadsheets and financial reports.
