    To qualify for the GS-9, you need to have one of the following: At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-7 level in the Federal service. Examples of such experience include: utilizing computer requirements for project assignments consisting of several related tasks, making minor modifications to system parts. Assignments required analysis of interrelationships of system components, planning the sequence of actions to accomplish assignment, and personal responsibility for at least a segment of the overall project. OR Have a Master's or equivalent graduate degree. OR Two (2) full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Master`s or equivalent graduate degree. OR Have a combination of post high school education and experience that, combined, meet the qualification requirements for this position.

    To qualify for the GS-11, you need to have one of the following: At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-9 level in the Federal service. Examples of such experience include: as experience that demonstrates the knowledge and ability to use IT systems, conduct data analyses, provide customer support, recommend systems modifications, analyze interrelationships of system components, and plan sequences of actions to accomplish assignments. OR I have a Ph.D. or equivalent graduate degree. OR Two (2) full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., with a major study in computer science, information science, information systems management, or course work that required the development or adaptation of computer programs and systems and provided knowledge equivalent to a major in the computer field. OR Have a combination of graduate level education as described above; beyond the two full years of graduate level education and specialized experience as described above that together meet the qualification requirements for this position.

    You will be evaluated for this job based on how well you meet the qualifications above.

    Applicant qualifications will be assessed based on the level of completed education and relevant work experience at the closing date of the announcement. Category rating procedures will be used to rank and select eligibles. Based on your responses to the occupational questionnaire, you will be assigned a score. Your score will determine in which of three categories you will be placed: Excellent, Very Good, or Good. Under this process, veterans will be assigned to the appropriate category (without additional preference points) and then placed at the top of their category.
